Durham YFC exists to serve churches and youth groups by working in partnership to create diverse opportunities for young people to reach out to their friends and peers, to make a positive impact on local community and to change the world.

Resources

The vision of YFC's church resource department is to SERVE CHURCHES OF ALL DENOMINATIONS , as they faithfully work with young people. The aim is to provide all the necessary resources and support for effective Christian youth work in order that together we can REACH AND KEEP THE YOUNGER GENERATION FOR GOD . Additionally you can contact our Centre Director who is available to look over and discuss any resources with you. We can also deliver a pilot session alongside you with your youth group, so you can try before you buy!

Visits

We want to support local youth gatherings across the city and beyond. We would love to come and visit. If you would like us to serve your group in some way by helping to run a session then please get in touch and we can discuss the best way to do that according to your program.

City-Wide Youth Events

We are keen to get different groups of young people together to participate in a wide range of exciting opportunities and events. We also linked into wider networks across the North East who seek to provide for the diverse interests of young people in the region. Please see our events page for upcoming events and a feel for what we have helped to facilitate so far!

Supporting Young People in School

The majority of young people spend a large proportion of their time in school and engaging in activities and friendships related to that. We want to support them in this setting by being present in their schools and encouraging local churches to do the same. See schools work for more info.
